If I had to be completely honest with you, there are only a few things I can think of that are more satisfying than shopping at Target. Even though most of my buys are a direct result of my impulsiveness, it is truly a therapeutic experience. Yes, I am one of “those” people that you read about in the memes – go in for one thing and come out an hour and a half later with home decor, snacks, clothes, a pair of earrings, and beauty products that could’ve have very well remained on the shelves (if my bank account could talk). Well, now that the aisles are being filled with natural beauty + hygiene stuff, how can a girl say no?
You might’ve seen the new initiative that’s being kicked into overdrive, but Target is continuing to label their natural, vegan, and cruelty-free products with a “Target Clean” symbol, in an effort to get rid of the bad guys (parabens, sulfates, phthalates, etc.) and promote living a chemical-free or lessened lifestyle. See, another reason why you should spend 39201481 hours in their stores.
Check out some of my favorites below, and let me know in the comments if there are any natural beauty & personal care items you can’t live without!
Burt’s Bees Hydrating Sheet Mask
One of my all-time favorite things to do when I’m home on a Friday night is to apply a facial mask. It’s just something about cleansing my skin from the week and its impurities (LOL). This mask is the bee’s knees, no pun intended. Not only does it fill your pores with hydration with its glycerin-base and kisses the dry skin goodbye, it smells absolutely yummy with a hint of watermelon scent.
Carol’s Daughter Almond Milk Restoring Conditioner
With ingredients like almond oil, aloe butter, shea butter, and vegetable protein, this conditioner works to improve the hair’s condition and restore softness. It smells amazing and is super lightweight but does the heavy-duty job at the same time. This is one of my go-to conditioners during the fall and winter season, as it protects against environmental aggressors and harsh elements.
Difeel Tea Tree Pure Essential Oil
This tea tree oil is a staple in my daily skincare routine. It’s clean, refreshing feel and smell works perfectly as a toner once diluted with water.
Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap
Most would consider this the holy grail of liquid soap. It can be used as body wash, bubble bath, facial wash, and even laundry detergent. And with this product, a little goes a long way! Have your pick from 10+ scents and enjoy the many usage areas.
Native Coconut & Vanilla Deodorant
Moment of truth… I’ve tried the whole natural deodorant thing and let’s just say, right product, wrong time. Time = summer. While I wouldn’t recommend making the switch to natural deodorant during the warmer months, Native would be perfect for the colder elements. This deodorant goes on smooth and is great for sensitive skin. You can get a light workout in and not have to worry about odor knocking at your front door.
Love Beauty and Planet Lavender & Argan Oil Body Wash
The whole line of Love Beauty and Planet non-toxic personal care products is uber cute and smells really good. It gives a great lather and keeps you smelling fresh after your shower. If you’re looking for the calming effects of lavender, this body wash is for you.
Vaseline Cocoa Butter Healing Jelly
Ugh, the product & brand that has literally been in my life since I was a toddler. It doesn’t matter the season, Vaseline petroleum jelly gets the job DONE! It gives your skin that moisture barrier and protects it from almost anything you can name. Chapped lips? Covered. Dry patch? Covered. Ran out of lip gloss? Vaseline has got you covered. Personally, I prefer the cocoa butter scent over the regular because, why not?
